A Zoho alternative that keeps CRM, HR, payroll and books in one system
Zoho sells CRM, People, Payroll and Books as separate apps that work together. Workdome is a single product for Indian SMBs: one tenant, one employee directory and one permission model under the CRM, HR, payroll and finance. It has importers for Zoho CRM, Zoho People and Zoho Books, so moving across does not start with a pile of export files.

Who should switch, and who shouldn't
A move is weeks of work for someone in your team. It is worth it for some companies and not for others.
Workdome is likely a good fit if
- You run several Zoho apps and keep reconciling them. In Workdome the customer in Finance is the organisation in CRM, and the employee in payroll is the person in the directory.
- Indian statutory payroll matters to you. PF, ESI, professional tax, salary TDS under both regimes, Form 16 Part B and gratuity in the final settlement all sit in the payroll module.
- Your team works in Microsoft Teams. Leave, balances, approvals, standups and service requests work as Teams commands, and people sign in with their Microsoft account.
- You want to move across without re-keying. The Zoho importers connect with your Zoho login and pull through Zoho's API.
Stay where you are if
- You rely on Zoho apps outside CRM, HR, finance, projects, recruiting and learning, such as email, a customer help desk or inventory. Workdome does not replace those.
- Your sales process lives in custom fields. The CRM importer keeps the standard fields only; custom fields have to be recreated and moved deliberately.
- You need e-way bills, a Tally import or direct filing. Workdome does not generate e-way bills or import from Tally, and it prepares GST, PF and ESI files for you to upload rather than filing them.
- Your people sign in with Google accounts. Single sign-on is Microsoft only today.

Migration
How the move from Zoho works
Three importers, each connected with your Zoho login (OAuth). The full detail of what each brings across is in Moving from Zoho to Workdome.
1. People first
The Zoho People importer brings departments, employees, leave types, balances and requests, attendance, holidays, shifts, bank details, and salary and statutory details. Record owners, approvers and payroll all hang off this directory.
2. Payroll mid-year
Switching in the middle of a financial year? Import the year-to-date figures and tax declarations from Zoho Payroll exports. Workdome matches the columns, you check them on a preview, and TDS for the rest of the year is worked out on the full year's earnings.
3. Books at a clean boundary
The Zoho Books importer brings the chart of accounts, customers, vendors, invoices, bills, payments, bank transactions and journals between two dates you choose. A reconciliation report compares the two systems, and a cutover sign-off records when Workdome becomes the books of record.
4. CRM last
The Zoho CRM importer brings accounts, contacts, leads with their status, deals in pipelines built from your Zoho stages, tasks and notes. It matches on the Zoho ID, so an interrupted import can be run again. Hand records to the right owners afterwards.
5. One cycle in parallel
Run one payroll and one GST month in both systems, compare the numbers, then switch off the old one.
